While placing an order for wire rope slings the major points to be taken into consideration are:

1. The weight of the object to be lifted and shifted.
2. Selection of the wire rope sling size such as wire rope dia, effective length, working load of the sling, end fittings such as standard loop – loop size, hook, thimbles, bull dog grips, etc,.
3. The nature of the hook whether oblong type or round etc and material of hook such as alloy steel, etc.
4. Number of lugs required for the slings based on the object and size of the object to be lifted and shifted.
